What would you like to say to your future husband?
"I can't wait to spend the rest of life together and see where this journey takes us."~Bridget

Introducing:
ERIC & BRIDGET
The lovely bride and her groom were married December 16th, 2011 at Reflections. When someone mentions the word "peacock" you can't help but envision their beautiful feathers of turquoise, teals, browns, and greens. Our feature bride, Bridget, used a peacock feather inspiration to theme the wedding. A tribute to the bride's favorite holiday, it was truly a Peacock Christmas decked out with ornaments and an array of matching decor. Whimsical floral arrangements and bouquets were made by KaBloom of Dallas/Fleurs de France Wedding & Event Floral Capturing the celebration on camera was Valerie Valdez Photography, what beautiful photos! Along with Bridget's turquoise heels, her bridesmaids coordinating dresses, their wedding was exquisite!
Dancing the night away!
Let's rewind and get to know the couple. They met at a Texas/OU block party in Dallas, Texas on Oct.1st, 2010. Eric is in Physical Therapy school and went to UNT and Texas Tech. He is the second youngest of five kids and is a fan of anything zombie! Bridget is a Business Senior Analyst and went to UT Dallas. She is an avid scrapbooker. Some television shows they love to watch together are "Modern Family" and "Walking Dead." They have a Mini Pincher, a Chi-Winney, and a Pit bull. Their first restaurant they ate at together was Campisis. Eric created a scrapbook to ask Bridget to marry him! How creative & sweet to incorporate one of her favorite past times. It even had the menu from their first pizza dining experience. Here are some shots of their journey before becoming a Mr. & Mrs.
Delicious Cakes happened to be their last stop when planning their cakes. Save the best for last! They said they had fun at the cake tasting, and liked that we were willing to work with what they wanted and to do such a unique cake. They also loved that Delicious Cakes had her favorite fruit cake...Pineapple. Here are the two love birds at their tasting.
Bridget wanted her cake to stand out and be a less traditional, modern, and a focal point. She decided on a tiered cake with teal ribbon with diamond bling banding, peacock feathers, and a crafted "P" topper with two glass peacock ornaments setting on top. A fun candy buffet in a variety of peacock color shades was also offered to guests.
Walking by the groom's table, guests might have let out a scream. The groom wanted Delicious Cakes to custom design a Zombie cake to reflect his favorite show "Dawn of the Dead." Check out these cake pictures and the theatrical Day After Zombie Photo Shoot.
The newly weds celebrated their honeymoon on a cruise out of New Orleans to Cozumel, Belize, Honduras, and Costa Maya.
Delicious Cakes was so thrilled to create these artful one-of-a-kind cakes for Bridget & Eric. Their wedding and cakes reflect their lives, interests, and love for one another. We hope for a wonderful and fun life together, full of good Zombie movies & new sweet memories to scrapbook.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Puentes
